Families in Dingley Village will be able to enjoy great local sporting facilities, with a re-elected Andrews Labor Government to deliver $4.5 million towards new facilities for Souter and Corrigan Ovals at Dingley Reserve.

Right now, local sporting clubs and community groups are competing for space to play, train and meet.

This funding will refurbish and expand the existing facilities, upgrade the changerooms to meet AFL guidelines and accommodate the growth of local clubs.
The pavilion will include new female friendly changerooms and bathrooms, universal disability access, umpires’ facilities (both male and female) and more storage. It will also aim to meet environmental sustainability requirements by capturing rainwater for use.

The announcement builds on the Andrews Labor Government’s investment in local community sports over the last four years, including $650,000 towards the new Tatterson Park Pavilion in Keysborough, $100,000 towards the new Alex Nelson Reserve Pavilion in Springvale South, and $100,000 for new change rooms at Rowan Road Netball Centre in Dingley Village.

With this upgrade by a re-elected Labor Government, local clubs – and communities in the Keysborough electorate – will have the great sporting facilities they deserve.

The Labor Government has made the biggest investment in grassroots sporting opportunities in Victoria’s history, with $420 million dedicated to community sports.
