Hutton Road street lights to improve safety
A road safety improvement on Hutton Road in Keysborough is making a big difference for local road users and parishioners of the Saint Hoan-Thien Catholic Community Centre.
New street lighting has recently been installed on the eastern central median on Hutton Road, east of Chapel Road.
On Sunday, Member for Keysborough, Martin Pakula visited the St Hoan-Thien Catholic Community Centre and told parishioners he was pleased to help deliver this important safety improvement.
For the hundreds of people driving to and from the St Hoan-Thien Catholic Community Centre, it has long been a concern that there was no street lighting, particularly on dark and wet winter nights.
In 2012, there was a crash resulting in serious injury, and since then a number of near misses, which prompted the calls for lighting to improve safety.
