Attorney-General Martin Pakula today announced the appointment of Andrew Keogh SC to the Supreme Court, filling a vacancy created by the resignation of the Honourable Jack Rush.

Mr Keogh has been practising as a barrister since 1998 and was appointed Senior Counsel in 2009.

He has extensive experience as a trial and appellate barrister, especially in personal injury and other common law matters.

He also has considerable expertise in administrative law, inquests and alternative dispute resolution.

Mr Keogh has a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Economics from Monash University and began his legal career at Lumley, McCarthy and Company in Finley, New South Wales.

He was previously a partner at Mackay Taylor and Company in Warrnambool.
