UPGRADING KINGSWOOD PRIMARY SCHOOL BRICK BY BRICK
This year, Dingley Village families have done an incredible job in supporting students to learn from home. As kids get back into the classroom, we want to make sure they have the fantastic new learning spaces they deserve.
The Andrews Labor Government has built and upgraded more schools than any government in our state’s history, and the Victorian Budget 2020/21 continues that record of investment.
Minister for Education James Merlino and Member for Keysborough Martin Pakula today announced Kingswood Primary School will receive a $6.249 million upgrade as part of the upcoming Victorian Budget 2020-2021.
Following the $694,000 announced through the Infrastructure Planning and Acceleration Fund, the Victorian Government is providing a further $6.249 million to Kingswood Primary School to upgrade and modernise the school.
This investment builds on the $1.18 billion as part of the Building Works Package announced earlier this year, which is creating space for more than 21,000 extra students in Victoria’s education system and creating around 1,600 local construction jobs.
Across Victoria, the Labor Government is delivering 1,460 school upgrades – investing in new classrooms, fixing old buildings and delivering the learning spaces our kids deserve.
The Labor Government’s unprecedented $7.2 billion investment in Victorian school infrastructure is not only creating 7,500 jobs – it is ensuring that every child has a great local school where they can achieve their best.
