A new bus for Keysborough South
One of the top issues locals in Keysborough South raise with me is the need for public transport in this growing community.
From Sunday 28 August 2016, the new Route 709 will run from Noble Park Station to Mordialloc Station via Keylana Drive, Westwood Boulevard and Perry Road in Keysborough South, and Bloomfield Road in Noble Park. The new service will run:
– Monday-Friday: every 30 minutes between 6:00am and 7:00pm. Then every hour from 7:00pm to around 9:00pm.
– Saturdays: every 30 minutes from 7:00am – 7:00pm, then every hour until 9pm.
– Sundays: every 30 minutes from 8.30am – 7:00pm, then every hour until 9pm.
The new bus route is the product of extensive community consultation and is part of the Andrews Government’s $100 million Better Bus Networks program. Public Transport Victoria will notify local residents of the location of bus stops in the coming weeks.
Special thanks go to everyone who contributed their views during consultation – your feedback has been integral in helping us deliver this new service.
