BRINGING THE EDUCATION STATE TO KEYSBOROUGH
We’re delivering on our commitment to make Victoria the Education State by making some of the biggest education investments in Victoria’s history, including right here in our community.
St Anthony’s Primary School in Noble Park has received a $650,000 grant to build a new early learning centre. I recently stopped in to inspect early works with Principal Marg Batt and some of the kids.
Work is also progressing on existing projects being delivered by the Andrews Labor Government and local school communities. At Chandler Park Primary School, the $3.5 million upgrade is currently out to tender. This project will build six new classrooms and a library for students at this growing school.
Keysborough College’s $11.5 million major upgrade will transform the school, building new arts and technology facilities, upgrading the canteen and toilets, and providing major refurbishment at both campuses. This project is progressing through planning stages before construction starts.
Negotiations to purchase land for a new primary school in Keysborough South are continuing. Funding for construction will be allocated in a future budget.
