Extra bus for Dingley students
The Andrews Labor Government has introduced a second bus to the morning service from Dingley Village to Parkdale Secondary College, making it easier for students to get to school.
Member for Keysborough Martin Pakula said the extra bus will help to reduce crowding and create space for more passengers in the busy morning peak.
A second bus now leaves Dingley Village at the same time as the existing 8.15am service, dropping students inside the Parkdale Secondary College grounds at 8.32am.
After listening to community feedback, the second bus ensures that all students can now get on a direct service, rather than taking the Route 811 service and walking a distance to the school grounds.
The 3.15pm return from the Secondary College to Dingley Village is already a two bus service and remains unchanged.
Public Transport Victoria will continue to review the services for schools in the area to ensure they are meeting the needs of local residents.
