Government Backs Family Day ay Hamilton Pacing Cup
The Andrews Labor Government has contributed more than $10,000 to help make this Sunday’s Hamilton Pacing Cup a great day out for families.
Minister for Racing, Martin Pakula, said Cup Day in Hamilton was a community event that brought together racegoers from all over Victoria’s southwest.
The day will have a festival-like atmosphere with activities such as:
- Animal and reptile petting zoos.
- Live music.
- Children’s entertainment, including a jumping castle.
- Fairy floss machine.
- Punters’ club.
Racegoers will also have the opportunity to snap up giveaways such as a holiday package and jewellery.
The Country Fire Authority, the State Emergency Service and Victoria Police will erect displays.
The Labor Government contributed $10,950 from its Victorian Racing Industry Fund – Raceday Attraction Program. The Hamilton Harness Racing Club gave $10,850 towards the total cost of $21,800.
