Major sports and recreation facility upgrades announced for Keysborough

I was delighted to join City of Greater Dandenong Cr Sean O’Reilly and Mayor Heang Tak to announce $750,000 in Victorian Government funding to upgrade the Tatterson Park Community Sports Complex (Pavilion) and the Alex Nelson Reserve Pavilion. These projects will be done in conjunction with the Commonwealth and the City of Greater Dandenong, which have also contributed funding for other project upgrades.

The Tatterson Park Community Sports Complex Project in Keysborough will receive $650,000 to build a new multi-purpose community pavilion. The new pavilion will include eight change rooms, a function room, community meeting rooms and a 500 seat grandstand.

The project to upgrade the Alex Nelson Reserve Pavilion in Springvale South will receive $100,000 to improve change room facilities and enable groups to increase female participation.

Victoria is proudly the sporting State. The State Government’s $100 million Community Sports Infrastructure Fund will give communities across Victoria state-of-the-art sport and recreation facilities, and the ability to attract and retain more members.

Grassroots sport is a vital part of our local communities in Springvale, Noble Park and Keysborough. These upgrades will help build better sport and recreation facilities and bring more members into local sporting clubs.
